This site is the story of one woman's obsession with Garfield. It all started at an impressionable age of 20 when Garfield was born at Mama Leoni's Italian Restaurant. Merchandising by Jim Davis began in 1981 with the publication of comic-strip collection books, and the Garfield phenomenon had begun. Before I knew it, I was hooked. Since then, my collection has expanded into the tens of thousands. Friends and family bring me Garfield, Odie, Nermal, Pooky, Arlene and Jim Davis collectibles from all over the world. No matter where I go, I am always on the lookout for that sarcastic, lasagna loving, Monday hating orange cat who loves his coffee as much as he loves kicking hapless, trusting Odie.

I have comic books, coloring books, videos, CD's, DVD's, stationery, and school supplies. My family room has numerous one-of-a-kind paintings and very early animation cells, all autographed by Jim Davis. My kitchen has Garfield and Odie cookie jars, salt and pepper shakers, toothpick holders, and towels. My bathroom has toothbrush holders, combs, brushes, and even a Garfield toilet seat. Bedrooms are decorated with linens, curtains, blankets, and music boxes. You'll even find jewelry and collector's plates. My computer has computer games and screen savers. My car has an Indiana Garfield license plate. My purse is stocked with Garfield checks and a Garfield checkbook. I wear slacks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, slippers, ties and hats adorned with Garfield. Cupboards are stocked with board games, card games, puzzles, crayons, and Colorforms. The garage has Garfield posters and trash cans. During the holidays, the tree is decorated with Garfield ornaments and the Christmas Village and Christmas Train are placed carefully on the Garfield tree skirt. Toys, ceramic figurines, and a multitude of other Garfield items are in every nook and cranny. Every room is lined from floor to ceiling with Garfield, Odie, Nermal, Pooky, Arlene and Jim Davis merchandise. Only thing I don't have is a Garfield tattoo.

I spent a load of money to try to collect every Garfield postcard made, here and abroad. Now I see they've come out with more! I have no will power when it comes to Garfield, and I fear (hope) I'll be an addict for life. When your kids are growing up, please show them Garf with care. He's awfully addicting.
